Grief and Loss
Counseling
There are times where life can be hard, really hard. When dealing with grief and loss or traumatic events, the challenges you face might seem impossible to bear, but please know that you are not alone. There is no time frame for grief and everyone goes at their own pace, as they should. Unfortunately, sometimes the grieving process may seem like there is no end, and on that journey we experience a heap load of confusion, anger, emotions and a lot of "why me"? It's comforting to have someone walk with you who understands the process of trauma and grief to help you transcend the overwhelming memories and emotions to find healing and peace.

The stigma of addiction is still very real today, even though our understanding is better than it was years ago. Opioids are the worst public health crisis in NEPA and any significant resolution spans continents, so all we can do as a community is educate and treat at this time.Addiction can affect any race, religion, gender, level of education...anyone. It is not a problem, it is a chronic disease of the brain. It not only takes a toll on your mental/physical life, but it does the same to the people around you, most importantly the ones who love you. Many people I know and love struggle with this. I understand both sides and the impact of loss it can cause. Where my expertise comes in is to work with those in recovery and their loved ones to help understand, strengthen and cope. I specialize in loss due to overdose and addiction related health issues. I also treat general mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, caregiver fatigue, job issues, etc.
I provide geriatric mental health treatment in assisted living facilities to help those experiencing difficulty transitioning from home into a long term facility.
